Peter Morrow embarked on his fencing journey in 2007 with the Diamond Rose Académie d'Armes, specializing in Historical French Smallsword of Monsieur L'Abbat and Transitional Rapier. His dedication and expertise led him to become one of the principal instructors at the académie in 2016. In the Diamond Rose, he achieved the highest rank of Courtier.
In late 2014, Peter joined the Sacramento Freifechter, now known as the Sacramento Historical Fencing Academy (SHFA), where he continued to refine his skills and contribute to the community. By 2024, he had become an instructor of French Smallsword of Monsieur L'Abbat at SHFA. In the SHFA, Peter has achieved a Fechter rank in both Longsword and Meyer’s Rapier, with his Longsword Fechter rank recognized by the Meyer Friefechter Guild.
Peter’s favorite weapons include the French Smallsword of Monsieur L'Abbat, Rapier, Meyer’s Rapier, Italian Dueling Saber, and the English Rapier of Swetnam. His deep appreciation for these styles is evident in both his teaching and competitive efforts. Notably, he achieved a peak ranking of 149th in the global rankings for Single Rapier in April 2023.
Peter is also a part founder of the Historical Fencing Network, further demonstrating his commitment to the growth and promotion of historical fencing. His dedication to the art is reflected in his teaching experience, competitive achievements, and contributions to the fencing community.
